Boarding & Bathing

At Blue Ridge Animal Hospital, we recognize the fact that keeping your pet happy and healthy is about a lot more than just managing his or her medical care. It’s about the extra little services that make visiting with us so easy and convenient. That’s why we’re pleased to also offer professional boarding and bathing services along with our traditional and alternative companion animal medical care options. We’d love to become your one-stop-shop for everything pet related!

Our clean, comfortable and spacious boarding facility will provide the perfect home away from home for your loved one, while our professional bathers will have your pet looking, feeling and smelling his or her very best. Schedule your pet’s next bathing or boarding appointment today!

General Boarding

All boarders receive personal, one-on-one attention and plenty of TLC from our caring staff during their stay with us. What’s more, we’ve worked hard to make our boarding area someplace where your loved one will feel safe, comfortable and right at home. Pets may be dropped off and picked up during regular business hours Monday through Saturday. Sunday pick-up is also available from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

Cat Boarding

Our feline boarding guests can enjoy a stay in either our single or double cages, both of which offer window views of the outdoors. Litter and bedding is changed twice daily, and fresh food and water is provided. We feed Science Diet Adult to all of our feline boarding guests; however, you are more than welcome to bring your own food for your pet, which will be served in place of our food.

Dogs Boarding

For our canine guests, we have plenty of options to choose from, including one double run, 18 single runs, and small, medium, and large sized cages available. All dogs staying with us receive 3 walks daily, clean bedding, and fresh food and water. We do offer additional nature trail walks upon your request for an additional charge. We feed our doggy guests Science Diet Sensitive Stomach or Science Diet Adult Small Bites; however, you are more than welcome to bring your pet’s regular food from home, which will be fed to them in place of our food.

Please note: due to the large number of boarding guests that we serve, we do ask that you do not bring along personal items that you wouldn’t want lost or misplaced, such as blankets, beds, toys, collars, or leashes. This also helps to prevent the risk of choking hazards when the animals are resting overnight.

Bathing

To keep your furry friend healthy and clean on the outside, routine and therapeutic bathing services are available.

Your loved one is special, so why not treat them to a day at the spa? Our experienced, professional bather will take care of your cat or dog, using our state of the art Hydro-Surge bather that massages the skin as your pet is bathed. Your pet’s bath also includes a nail trim, ear cleaning, and brush out. Extra charges may apply if your pet needs to be dematted.

Baths are available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. We ask that your pet be dropped off between 8:30am – 9:00am. We will call you when he or she is ready to be picked up. Please call us for prices and to schedule your pet’s next pampering session!
