Dr. Lori York: 

Dr. York grew up in Cleveland Ohio, and moved to Georgia in 1981 to attend Veterinary school at the University of Georgia.  After graduation in 1986, she worked in a mixed animal practice in Lavonia Georgia for 4 years.  Dr. York bought Blue Ridge Animal Hospital in 1991 and concentrates her work and continuing education on dogs and cats.  She is married to her husband Greg and together they have 4 dogs, Lena, Gibbs, Rudy, and Sara Lee, 3 cats, Samuel, Little Chester and Mamma Cat, and 2 horses.  She has very little time for hobbies, because she puts her heart and soul into caring for her patients, but when she gets the chance she likes to read mysteries.  She attends Springwell church, which she loves. Ask her about her church!

 

Dr. Carol Springs: 

Dr. Carol Springs has been an Associate Veterinarian at BRAH since October of 1998.  She received a B.S. in Biology in 1988 from Furman University and received her D.V.M. in 1992 from The University of Georgia, College of Veterinary Medicine.  Dr. Springs enjoys reading and cooking, and she loves playing with her son Isaac (this allows her to play with legos and not feel guilty).  Dr. Springs has 2 dogs, Boudraux (a.k.a. Boodie), and Etta, and 3 cats Connor, Nike, and Mamma Kitty.

 

 

Dr. Catherine Bivins:

Dr. Catherine Bivins has been an Associate Veterinarian at BRAH since March 1, 2010.  She received a B.S. in Nursing from Medical College of Georgia.  She was a critical care nurse for 9 years before returning to school to become a veterinarian.  Dr. Bivins graduated Tuskegee University in 1992 with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine.  She owned and operated her own practices from 1996 until 2008.  She has three internationally adopted children.  She has 2 cats and 1 dog.  Dr. Bivins enjoys spending time with her children, riding horses, and outside activities.  She is also very active in her church, she sings in the choir and plays the handbells.
